I got these in the pink and love them. The rear pocket held my phone with no bounce. The brief liner is full coverage and tight enough to stay put. The outer layer is weightless! I got soaked by a rain shower and these handled it well, no flopping or chafing. Will definitely get other colors.
I got XS, which is a tad snug at the waist but not too much so. Sizing up would make the liner and outer layer too big. I am a solid XS in sportswear but do have a thicker waist so I have this problem in most higher waisted styles where the hips/legs fit well but the waist is snug. So I’d say these are TTS for XS.
These shorts are amazing. I do prefer the running shorts and spandex shorts. I really wish your team would come out with bright, fun colors in your other designs as well. The bright pink sold me on these, but I'd definitely buy more of the others if new, bright colors were introduced. Runners want color!
I have all the shorts, capris, and leggings from Flipbelt, so you could say we have a pretty serious thing going, lol. I just wore these shorts for a Half Marathon race and they held up phenomenally well. I have a Samsung Galaxy S24 Ultra with a slim wallet case to hold cards. It fit no problem in the back pocket and stayed firmly put the entire race.
There was a bit of a bounce in the initial start to the race, but once I got a mile or so in, everything seemed to settle and I never noticed it from there.
I do agree the waist is a bit snug, but I have a small waist, so they worked well for me. I'm normally a Small in the other Flipbelt shorts, and prefer the Small in these as well. So, while it is a less stretchy waist, it worked perfectly for my figure. If you have a smaller waist, I think you'd want your normal size. I feel if I were to size up, the looser fit would cause the phone and pocket goodies to bounce a lot.
For reference, I am 5'4, 125 pounds and have a 24 inch waist and 33 inch hips. The hips and legs are roomier, no snugness there.
Beautiful color
I’m normally a size small, I got a small and a medium, the medium fit better in the waistband. Love the way these shorts feel though! They’re so light and have a few pockets for essentials. Will be getting a few more pairs of these!
