The waist was way too tight
The waist was way too tight. I usually wear a medium and went up to a large and they are still uncomfortable at the waist. Everything else felt good but can’t keep them if my stomach hurts from tight pants.

As another review mentioned, the waist on these is ridiculously small and tight. For reference, I’m petite, athletic, 110 lb and 5’2” and usually size XS. I could barely get the size Small and once I did, I could barely breathe. I was able to put on the medium without issues, but while the waist fit perfectly, they were super loose around the crotch area.
My fav running shorts are the FlipBelt air compression shorts from a couple of years ago. Last year I ordered a new batch of shorts from the new releases and sadly returned all of them because of how tight they were. These new releases are coming out with incredibly tight waits. I may just stretch these on the waist as much as I can and keep them, because I actually like them a lot and the fabric is top quality.

Really, REALLY tight waistband
Really wanted to love these but could barely get them on. I have slim legs, am normally XXS/XS. Once I struggled to get them over my hips, squeeze was so intense that I had to take them off immediately. Luckily, FlipBelt has a really easy exchange process so I’m swapping for a small and hoping the waist will fit without the legs being too loose. Build quality and fabric thickness are great and should work well in the cold. Please stop basing your sizes on Barbie body proportions; adult women do not have 23” waists!!!
