Doesnt cut the wind, huge design flaw for a shell.
Heavy but not warm. I have jackets in the same price range half the weight and warmer because the cut the wind.
Length too short with sleeves too bulky. The sleeves are really ill fitting. They work but but there just too big.
The watch window isnt usable. It needs elastic at the wrist area and the window. Your watch just wont stay accessible without a rubber band or two.
The hood design just doesnt work. Another huge flaw for a shell. The hood will puff on the sides and let wind it no matter how you adjust it.
Sizing is small too.
I usually wear a large, im 6ft 175lbs. The XL barely fits me, a bit tight and short.
I think this would be a good jacket for dry, non-windy conditions in about 40+ degree weather. Ive been swapping it with my current jacket, its been 10-30 degrees here with at least a 10 degree wind chill and this jacket just doesnt hold up like my others.

Great running jacket, from 25-50 degrees, I can wear a tank or t-shirt under and be plenty warm. The watch openings are perfect. Very comfortable and versatile for my runs.

This jacket changed how I feel about cold runs
I love this jacket. All the storage, the watch windows on both arms and it keeps you warm on those colder days! I am going to get it in all the other colors!!

Great jacket, soft and breatheable
Love this jacket, it's got a super luxurious waffle texture that provides good wind, moisture and warmth. It's good for active, running/walking/hiking and looks good too. The thumb holes and elastic cord on the hem help cinch tight when it's cold but loosens up for a lightweight layer. It's not waterproof but it does repel light rain and moisture pretty decently.

The most awesome trail jacket ever!!
This has become my absolute favorite trail hiking and running jacket. It’s got some room to slide over a base layer, and the waffle texture is perfect for holding warmth and being breathable. And waterproof, it’s surprisingly water resistant. On a hike we got rain on and off for about 2 hrs, and I never soaked thru. This jacked did amazing at drying out and being ready for the next wet event.

Love the Arm Details
The feature that I absolutely love about this softshell jacket is the thumb and watch openings which come in handy in intense moments. The synthetic material provides sufficient warmth while also being completely comfortable because of the stretch properties. Because of the softshell material, make sure to wary of things that can snag clothing like certain jewelry or rough surfaces.

Runs large - but great jacket
One of my favorite active jackets! It pairs well with my other flipbelt stuff, like my running vest. The only thing I say that isn't praise about this thing, is that it runs a bit large. Now, if you are planning on layering over a lot of stuff, it will be perfect, but it's wind resistant, so it probably wouldn't be the best to have too many layers underneath. If I could do it again, I'd go with a small. I'm 5'10", 175lbs and I wear Medium in just about everything, but I should have gone with a small.Regardless, I'm wearing this thing a lot and all the adjustments that can be made to the waist and hood make it work really well. And like my other running and outdoor jackets and shirts, this one has the watch opening that let me keep my thumbs looped through the sleeve ends while still seeing my watch.

A good option for outdoor activities.
I needed some additional light jackets for my wardrobe, especially for the outdoors. This one really fits the bill. It is versatile: lightweight, water resistant, and breathable. I can take it on a hike in the summer or use it as an underlayer in the colder weather. I like that this brand has some interesting color options compared to other brands. The one I got is bright in the best way. I think it fits reasonably well and looks good while keeping me protected on my hikes. I'm looking forward to many hikes and cool nights with this.

good running jacket but doesn't work just for casual use
This is a good jacket for running, but not something to wear casually. The main reason for this is because of the thumb loops. Those are great for running, but you kind of have to use them, otherwise it's a weird bunched up thing on your wrist. If there were a better solution to use or not use the thumb loops it would work well as a light casual jacket too. It has a nice amount of stretch and is a comfortable material for running. It has a gap in the sleeves too so you can get to your watch without taking the thumb loops off which is a very thoughtful feature.

My new Go-To Jacket.
This jacket is my new "go-to" jacket. I live in Washington, so mornings can be chilly while afternoons tend to warm up. This jacket keeps the wind and chill off me while going on my morning walks and it allows for a breeze in the warmer afternoons when out with the animals.I like the small special touches they thought of. See some holes are decent size so you can not be bound by your sleeves but still hold them down. They've also put an opening to check your watch which is useful with everyone having a smart watch now and needing to touch the screen. There's adjustments all over for better fit too. Small semi-hidden chest pocket. The material is polyester and spandex so there's a little bit of stretch. It's soft on the inside and the outside is kind of like a windbreaker. It's a bit on the spendy side, but I like this jacket.I really like the Orange color too!

Excellent Jacket
My old cycling jacket has seen better days, so I selected this jacket as a lightweight go anywhere jacket with higher visibility. It is better insulated than expected and blocks wind very well yet is also breathable. I also use it when riding my motorcycle and feel well insulated even at higher speeds (50-60MPH, wouldn't take on freeway). I think the color stands out and provides good visibility. The features are well thought out. This includes the hood and thumb loops. The zipper is on the left.

Versatile Jacket That Balances Performance and Style
This jacket quickly became a staple in my closet because it covers a lot of ground. It’s light enough for daily wear yet provides enough warmth for brisk mornings or cool evenings. The outer shell repels light rain and wind, making it reliable for workouts or casual outings. The tailoring leans on the fitted side, which gives it a clean, athletic look but can feel snug through the chest if you want to layer underneath—sizing up would be the safer move. I appreciate the small but thoughtful details: thumb holes that make wearing a watch hassle-free, smooth zipper closures on all the pockets, and a chest pocket roomy enough to hold more than just keys.Breathability and stretch are strong points, so whether I’m running, walking, or just wearing it around town, it stays comfortable. Color choices are eye-catching without being over the top, adding a nice pop to everyday outfits. While it comes at a higher price than a typical hoodie or windbreaker, the mix of comfort, design, and function makes it a solid investment for anyone who wants a jacket that can transition between active wear and casual style.

Lightweight and versatile running jacket
This jacket is lightweight yet warm, with a water-resistant shell that’s perfect for running in cooler weather. The bright orange color increases visibility for outdoor workouts, while the fit is athletic without being restrictive. The material is breathable, with enough stretch for comfort during activity. Pockets are well-placed and zip securely. For value for money, it’s a versatile jacket for active lifestyles.

Solid Athletic Jacket with Some Fit Quirks
This softshell jacket has become my go-to for morning runs and casual wear. The lightweight material blocks wind effectively while keeping me comfortable, and I love the thoughtful details like the watch window in the sleeve and secure zippered pockets. The plum color looks even better in person than online. My only gripe is the somewhat odd fit - while it's perfect across my shoulders, it runs quite snug in the chest and waist. If you're planning to layer underneath, definitely size up. Despite the premium price point, the quality construction and versatility make it worth considering for active folks who want something that transitions well from workout to everyday wear.

very nice jacket
This is a really nice zip up jacket... it's got kind of a adidas type of feel to it. I'm a taller skinnier guy and the large fit me really well. It's got a soccer jacket type look to it. It's comfortable, warm yet cool, and is very well made. It is a little pricey, but it's definitely good quality.

Nice jacket that's warm and lightweight
Got this for chilly mornings.Build quality is good. I've walked cold mornings with it and it feels not too warm either. Provided pockets are nice and hold everything I need.I wear a thin shirt underneath and it's all I need to stay warm with this jacket.Fit is great on my normal sized body (6'0 at 155). I have long arms but these fit well.Overall, a great jacket. Definitely recommend to people who want warmth and thinness.

Lightweight Softshell That Moves with You
This softshell jacket is made for active use, with a flexible fit, breathable fabric, and a modern design that doesn’t scream “running gear.” It offers wind resistance and a comfortable stretch, ideal for layering during unpredictable weather.I’ve worn this biking and hiking, and it kept me warm without overheating. It moves with you and doesn’t bind around the shoulders. I also like that it looks good enough to wear casually — not just for workouts.

Well made, lightweight, with tons of useful features
I was originally introduced to the Flip Belt brand when I bought one of their zippered bands to wear while running. I really loved the quality of that, and when I saw they were making jackets, I had to try it out. The material is very lightweight, and there are vents all over the place. This is going to be a great jacket to workout in when the weather starts to cool off.The zipper is on the left side, which I usually only find on clothing items that are European. No bother thought, it’s really good quality. There are lots of hidden pulls to help modify the fit so that it fits your body type just right. Pockets are plentiful, and most of them are zippered, which is really nice.I wear a medium, and I’m a thinner build, and it fits me just fine.

Great light weight jacket!
Solid ultra light jacket. The material is soft and its comfortable. 4 starts only because I feel like the sleeves are a little loose, but it's a little tight around the torso. I'm 6' 2", 200 in a medium.

Nice quality and breathable
This is a nice quality light hoodie. It is very comfortable and doesn't feel stuffy (overly hot)The material is soft and I like the orange color. It has been washed once and so far it seems durable and doesn't have threads that are coming undone.Overall, I would recommend it!

Love this lightweight, modern, athletic jacket
This jacket looks great. I love the subtle waffle/square texture on the white/ivory material. The green compliments it very well. I also got green compression FlipBelt running shorts that match this color perfectly. That chest pocket is very generously sized and useful. The side zipper pockets are also very convenient. I don't know how common the watch holes are for these type of garments, but they're new to me, and I love them! They really do make it easier to check my watch. While this jacket is light and not super warm, it does a good job of keeping me warm in the A/C or in the wind. Definitely recommend.

Functional / appealing style
This review is for the FlipBelt Men's Durango Softshell Jacket:- I’m 5’10” / 155lbs. With a slim fit build. I ordered this in a medium as I usually would and the fit is just about perfect.- The sleeves are a little bit odd, not form fitting at all. Too baggy for a mid layer type of jacket. I expected just the opposite from this brand since most of their gear is compression style sportswear.- I do like the pockets, roomy enough to make them useful for my gear.- The material is a great quality both in fit and comfort level.- The lava glow is an appealing shade of orange, not the harsh fluorescent shade you find lately.- Having a watch “window” is a unique aspect that is a functional way to check you watch without having to move up your sleeve.- Feels that it is a little overpriced, currently around $111.00.- I can still recommend it though, it’s a unique and appealing jacket that performs well. Especially for hiking and other outdoor activities.

Good Lightweight Jacket
Very high quality jacket. The material is quite light weight. I am not sure how water resistant it is, so I would be skepitcal against rain if that is what you are looking for. Hood is nice and large, and fit my large head. The plum color is even better in person, definitely recommend that color. Main negative is the fit is a bit odd. Fit my large shoulders alright, but the chest and waist are very tight for a large. Definitely recommend sizing up. The sleeves stayed kind of baggy and long at the same time as well. So recommend trying it on before sticking with the size you order. Nice jacket and would recommend if you get the sizing to fit right.
Sizing Alert
This style runs a full size small across the board. Whatever size you'd normally wear in FlipBelt, size up one (e.g. Medium → Large) to get your usual fit.
