I did not receive my item, sent multiple emails to address the issue - it has been several days and no response. Super bummed - was really looking forward to trying Flipbelt shorts.
I wore this doing a half marathon and it fits like a glove. Does not slide up and the pockets are the most useful part!! It was cold and I had to put my gloves at the side pocket and it did not come out! Love it!
I've tried a lot of compression shorts (Lulu, Oiselle, Janji, Bandit, etc) and these in 5" are the absolute winner:
1) No camel toe with a seamless front.
2) Don't ride up, even during a marathon or burpees. I wish I could run in loose split shorts, but I'd chafe like a MF.
3) Solid pockets, including a little zipper for keys. I held everything I needed for my marathon in these shorts. My phone, a credit card, loads of dates, a baggie of salt tablets, an extra set of contacts.
4) Thin, lightweight fabric.
The only problem is that the blacks have been sold out for so long. The other colors are cute, but show sweat and I prefer to hide the fact that my sweat makes me look like I've peed in my pants.
I ordered these shorts thinking I would be able to use them for my marathon, however that won’t be possible. I initially tried on the short the fit was good but I notice that the reflective pieces were already detaching from the shorts. I wore them for my long run the pockets were great but I noticed that the compression did not hold up for the entire run. I washed them and this is where all the flaws came through and the reflective pieces came off, the part to the draw strings came off and at this point the were basically sheer. Really disappointed especially at the price point
I’ve had 3 kids, so my stomach is not exactly flat. While these shorts are comfortable, the drawstring waistband is skinny and cuts into my belly. Like I said, it is not uncomfortably bad, just the appearance of it makes me laugh. I guess since these are the “elite” shorts they expect the buyers to have flat abs. Which is not the case here.
I do like the fabric, grippers on the legs. The pocket storage is not as good as their original compression shorts that have the belt integrated in. The fabric on these is much thinner than the originals, but I like the feel of both.
